As this Christmas is a little different, I’ve adapted the way in which I’m working this year. Fortunately, I’ve been lucky enough to secure some online gigs, so I can still bring the magic of Christmas to life!

I did a virtual switch on for Letchworth Garden City, and did an online class in early December. The latter saw me talking to children at parties organised at Priory House and getting plenty of Zoom practice in before my next virtual meeting with the European Business Assembly! I donned the caps of both Santa and Town Crier for this award ceremony which took place online this year, allowing me to ‘dial in’ from my front room.

While I have enjoyed using technology more and visiting people from the comfort of my own armchair, I have managed to get out and about while adhering to COVID-19 restrictions. In early December I was in King’s Walk Shopping Centre and Eastgate Market in Gloucester, where I was handing out presents to deserving children, donned in my full Santa attire.

I appreciate lately the Coronavirus situation has seen more severe restrictions come in to place, which has changed Christmas for a whole host of people. I sincerely hope that everyone stays safe, makes the most of the season and has a very merry Christmas.
