In March the world learned the horror that another terrorist attack had been carried out. This time it was in New Zealand, and to show solidarity with the people who suffered in Christchurch we gathered at Gloucester Cathedral to support them.

Invited by the Bishop of Gloucester, the Dean of Gloucester and Imam Hassan, I joined many others taking part in one minute of silence to show respect to the victims. For I believe, as do many, many others, that we will always stand together regardless of colour, sexuality or religion.

I’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone else who turned up to show support and I’d also like to thank the local media who reported the story, showing the world that we always stand together as one.
