I’ve just had a busy three days working at the wonderful Gloucester Tall Ships Festival. And, to those of you who are wondering, no, I didn’t end up as a model for the stonemasons!

However, I found that I just couldn’t resist this wonderful piece of work depicting Moby Dick and Captain Ahab from the great novel by Herman Melville. When I used to swim in Gloucester’s Barton Pool, people used to shout ‘there he blows’ so maybe I bought it for sentimental reasons? Anyhow, once I’d bought this first piece, I just had to have another couple of sculptures to go with it and so came home laden.
