London’s Guildhall is a fantastic historical building and has been an important landmark since the twelfth century when the Lord  Mayor of London held court there. I was officiating there last week for an evening banquet and was privileged to be asked,  prior to starting my duties as town crier, to sound a state trumpet kindly loaned to me by a member of the Blues and Royals  regiment.
