I was at several events in London during the Olympics fortnight, including officiating at the opening of  Holland Heineken House. As well as being the traditional meeting place for the various echelons of the Dutch  sports world during the Olympic Games, it is also the official, national house of the Netherlands where the NOC  NSF (Netherlands Olympic Committee) is the host. I was delighted to meet lots of very interesting people during  my time there as Town Crier, including Maarten van der Weijden, pictured here, the Netherlands Olympic champion  10 km open water swimming in the Beijing Olympics. I even made it to the front page of The Daily Dutch!
