Everyone has their favourite things in life, whether it’s a cheeky lunchtime pint, a takeaway on a Friday night, or maybe even a visit to one of their favourite places. Talking of favourite places, I have to admit that one of things I look forward to when I’m visiting the big smoke, is a trip to Ely’s department store.

Located in the heart of Wimbledon, it opened its doors in 1876 as a humble tailor, outfitter and drapery seller. Since then it has grown massively, into a large department store that the late, great Joseph Ely himself would be proud of.

Selling everything from Women’s and men’s clothes to beauty items and furniture, it’s a true gem to wander around in London and I do look forward to popping in to have a look when I’m in town. Of course, you may remember my previous visits to Ely’s – it’s always great to be invited back by a client, it definitely puts a spring in the ol’ step.
